I was banded 8/09 and was going great. I hit a standstill and then lost 8 more lbs after another 3 months. I have not lost any weight in 2 yrs. fills and unfills many times. Now upper left-side pain that's been there for about 3 weeks now. I've had 2 upper GI's within 5 months, Nothing found. Now today he said go for a ct scan, blood work and then back to him next week and totally all fluid removed. Did any of you have this upper stomach pain that I've described? If so, What was causing it. It used to come and go, but this time it's a little worse and hanging on longer. I'm a little worried. I talked to him about the sleeve and he was all for it. I just don't want to regain.

Are you still banded? Or was it removed!

As of now I am still banded. I am hoping to revise to the sleeve. Pretty much waiting on my Dr to deem it medically necessary. For insurance to cover it.

Well, It was decided on today to just go ahead and have this band removed. hopefully soon. I'm going to wait on having the CT Scan done right now. Getting rid of the band just may be the thing I need to get rid of the pain.

I had d same pain and one day i woke up and I coudent even drink. So i called my dr.and I had a slip and my port had flipped. I didnt want it removed cause I lost 140lbs. and was only 10 lbs. to my goal.Long story short he took d liquid out for 2 months and gained 15lbs:(. Now im 5 weeks out frm d revision and lost18. Slow but he said it will cause I only weight 170. D diff. With d sleeve is that I have no problems with any food and @ times i feel like I eat too much.Lol.

Im glad you guys were talking about this because I used to get the pains everyonce in awhile but now im worried about it. Im going for a revision in Nov to the sleeve just hope its not erosin so i dont have to wait for my surgery. Thanks again for asking the question and the great replies!
