I took the magnesium citrate yesterday, lol parts of my body hasn't recovered. I've been drinking Clear Liquids while eating broth and popsicles. Today I'm doing laundry and watching the DNC trying to take my mind off of tomorrow

I am having my surgery a day after you guys on the 5th. Today I am doing the first day of my all liquid diet and watching a NCIS marathon on USA since I had today off from work. Tomorrow I am going to work, and when I come home take my laxative and just chill and get ready for Wednesday.

So what is this for, first I heard of it? Guess my Doc does not require it.

@ lammrd81 - did you drink the bottle at once ? or over a couple hours ? I am not sure how I am supposed to drink this... If I should just chug it or if I can sip it over a couple hours... Dang, I definitely should have gotten some clarification on this!

My "Day Prior to surgery" instructions read ; Mag citrate is a laxative that will clean out your bowels in preparation for surgery. Eat a light supper of clear liquids after taking the prep.

My surgery is on the 5th and i was not given the magnesium citrate...thank god! haha I think the two week liquid diet cleaned me out enough. Today since i had the day off i cleaned my whole apt, did all my laundry and made sure i had everything ill need for when i get back. Tomorrow ill go to work and i was told just full liquids all day (already doing this) and then Clear Liquids from midnight until 2 hours before my surgery. I call tomorrow to get the time...im starting to get nervous!!

What is everyone bringing with them to the hospital? I was told no valuables but i was going to bring a book, my phone, couple pairs of undies, brush, face wipes and thats about it. They will make me wear the gown thing and provide everything else so i figure the less i bring the better! Plus i hope to get released the next day so I do not need to spend two nights.

I am bringing the same and figure if I need anything else, I will have my husband take care of it. I tend to "overpack" so this is killing me to pack so lightly. I've read on here that most people don't use all the other stuff they bring , so I'm taking that advise.

I am having surgery tomorrow as well! I am nervous, but looking forward to a healthier and more active life!

Yesterday I deep cleaned, and told I have worked and napped to keep my mind of things!

Drinking my "stuff" now! It sure is gross!

Good luck to everybody tomorrow! See you on the post-op side!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
