TO THE CENTURY CLUB???!!!!!!!!!!

I ranted on here a little bit the other day about not hitting 100 pounds before I went back to school... well it finally happened 2 days later! I waited out the 2+ week stall before taking pictures and now I attached some below. Before is February 2012, 4 1/2 months before surgery.

I should be over the moon but it's just so surreal to me... I guess I'm just a pessimist and still see myself as fat (which I am). I had a bit of a breakdown this morning when I posted one of these pics on Facebook because I was embarrassed and humiliated of my before picture. Don't get me wrong, I know I'm gorgeous and I was quite confident 100 pounds ago but when I look at those pics now I think "how in the hell did I think I was attractive?" This milestone has made me feel guilty for what I had done to my body. I am disgusted now, even though I wasn't then. I haven't felt overly emotional through this journey but I think it's all hitting me now... all of the NSVs, no clothes that fit, announcing it on FB, etc.

Anyway, I still have a long way to go... but I appreciate all of the knowledge and support I get here everyday.

Next stop... twonderland!!!!!! (Did we ever come up with a better name for that?)

I think someone mentioned 'twoderville'. I like it, I just want out of it B)

Congratulations!!! The century club...that's amazing! Every WL board I've been on it's been twoterville for the 200s.

You should hold your head high - look at that beautiful lady - in BOTH pictures. She is confident and happy and can take whatever life is gonna throw at her. And in your current pictures, look how much you are respecting your body. You should not feel guilty about making mistakes, you should be proud that you have had the strength and courage to take on this incredibly difficult journey and be coming out on top. You are awesome, no doubt about it. =) I can't wait to continue to see your progress.

Ahhh, I've been at my parents' house all day and haven't been online... so coming home to all of this was awesome! Thanks, all!

I love that a man was the first one to notice my hair! lol I chopped it off two days before surgery. I think I needed a more immediate physical change to remind of the ones to come.

Congratulations. Don't look back and beat yourself up. You were doing the best you could. When I read your post I thought...wow I could see myself doing that too but then thought -all that negative energy for what? You're courageous and have done so much for yourself. Look forward you have so much to be proud of.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
