Hi,
I started my journey three years ago then I found out my health Insurance wasn't going to cover it. I then managed to break my ankle clean off my leg, so delay after delay here I am 3 years later going through it all again.
I already passed the pschological testing so two weeks ago I went off for the endoscope and the dietician appointment.
I live 600 ks away from a major hospital so to go there its a big deal.
When i saw the dietician after the endoscope she recomeded that i start on the Optifast shakes i have too replace two meals a day with the shakes and then have dinner that includes 150g of Protein and 2 cups of a very select group of vegetable, no fruit, no potatoes, nothing with starch.
I am really struggling with this but ive been told I have to do this for six weeks. At the six week point (4th October) i get to go and see the surgeon and the dietician again too see what they have to say. I am really hoping its not going to take another six weeks or longer for the surgery as I would have to stay on the diet for another six weeks.
It's starting to mess with my head , did anyone else have to go through this?
