Have you been walking? Are you able to sip your Water as needed? I do believe in checking in with your surgeon, it may be a blood clot and/or dehydration. Let us know how your doing. :)

I had a low grade fever for the first few days after I got home. I just kept an eye on it and made sure to drink plenty of fluids. If you're worried though I would call the doctor.

Now it's at 100.4. I plan on calling in the morning. I'm on Vicodin and I took two Tylenol. Hopes its okay. They were giving me morphine and tylenol is the hospital. Man I hope I don't regret this surgery.

I had some problems getting in milk. Maybe because it's thicker than Clear Liquids but i was more uncomfortable after drinking milk and eating yogurt. I am able to get Water in. I need more I'm sure. I feel my legs are achey because of the fever and not painful like maybe a blood clot would be. Either way im calling in the morning If I'm not better

My legs are a little sore too, but I've heard DVTs are an intense, consistent pain and swelling. I was sleeved on Tuesday too, so I'm curious about what your dr will tell you. Keep us posted, and I hope you feel better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
