So I have a question? I'm suppose to start liquid diet Monday and surgery is Teusday morning, if I wanted to can I do a few extra days of the full liquid diet?? It's crazy I know, but i think it will help me from cheating :)

Sure! It'll help shrink your liver & that will help your surgeon.

Im really considering it! It's gonna be hard but well worth it, and I thought I should do a few extra days because I do have and enlarged liver.

I'm Jen...my surgery is scheduled for 10/16. I'm having my surgery at Northeast Medical in Concord, NC.

I wish you all the best of luck! :)

Not loving the pre-op diet, but it's going okay! ;) I was required to go on the Optifast diet for 4 weeks due to my BMI...so today started my 2nd week...

Anyone else having surgery in or near Charlotte, NC soon?

Can't wait for October 29th to get here! I was banded Nov '09 by Dr. Aaron Hoffman at Buffalo General. Unfortunately the band had to go Sept '12, Dr. Hoffman did that as well and will also do my sleeve.

I can't wait to get this over with, the anticipation is killing me and the weight I've put on(like over night!) is beyond awful! I still exercise 4-5 days a week. The constant feeling if being hungry is going to put me over the edge soon.

I'm with Dr. Hoffman also! He is taking out my band on September 10th and I'll be sleeved on October 22nd. Currently 260. Can't wait to get this band out of me for the love of god lol!

How crazy, Dr. Hoffman took our bands out on the same day!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
