Most people hate it. I didn't mind it cause I didn't have to drink it for very long. It's not that I liked it, but I managed to drink it.

Took me three days to drink one bottle, even mixing it with other stuff. Finally found that a Sonic slush would mask the flavor but it was so sweet I couldn't handle that either. Not trying to be negative but the aftertaste is awful.

I did the grape frost in my post op diet, it was definitely tolerable for me. I drank that almost exclusively during my ten days of phase I liquids post op. :)

It's a little different. I don't have a problem with it but you will just have to try it for yourself and decide. I have had the raspberry, orange, and apple melon and they were all pretty good. Not great but OK for what they are. The aftermath is a little odd, kinda like licking on blacktop lol! It just kinda leaves a weird feeling in your mouth. I think it's the sweetener.

I bought the zero carb alpine punch 6 small bottles with 15g Protein in each and I cannot finish the one bottle at once and I didn't have surgery yet. I really doubt that I would be able to drink it after surgery....

i was looking at these as it was suggested by my NUT (the zero carb ones) for the first two weeks after if i didnt want to do choc/vanilla Protein Drinks. I'll have to go buy a couple flavors to check it out as they do have alot of Protein in the bottle.

I buy them and have tried: grape frost, black tea, icy orange, alpine punch, and apple melon.

I love them. They remind me of watered down koolaid. However, they do leave your mouth dry. I keep one (over ice) at my desk and sip it throughout the day.

I can say DO NOT drink the apple melon: I can't even describe that taste it was so bad.

Also, check the prices...they can be expensive. I've found a place close to me for $43 a case (12)but I've seen them as high as $60.

~ good luck

I like the zero carb 8oz isopures. They make a really good little Protein boost during the day. They are not that amazing taste wise, but they are manageable for the 15g of protein. They are definitely dry though, so keep some Water around. I like the alpine punch the best, hated the grape.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
