zebrasprinkles, Like I said in posting before. I think of it as standing in line to get on a roller coaster you have never been on. You know it's going to be great but the anticipation and fear gets worse the closer you get. Afterwards you kinda laugh at yourself about being so silly. YOu only have a few more days for a lifetime of feeling and looking better. YOu can do this, you are not alone. Buckle down and stay the course everything will be fine.

Look at you, all worried about your fatty liver! Your BMI is in the 30's, you've lost nearly 20 in preparation for your transformation. You will do so well. You should be proud of yourself. Can't wait to hear how you do.

Rachel... I have been thinking about you!!!!! Your big day tomorrow!!! How are you feeling!!! I will be thinking and praying for you.. You will do great!! I am headed to London tomorrow, so I hope when I land I will hear about how you are doing.. I forgot to ask what time your surgery is scheduled.. Don't worry about "cheating" on your liquids. I'll venture to guess that many do.. From what I've read on here.. Some drs don't even require one.. I wish you all the best!!! Let me know how you are doing when you feel up to it :))))

Your right.. The scope was a breeze.. I had a slight sore throat for a few hours.. No biggie!!! Thanks for making me feel at ease :))... liquids start for me tomorrow!!!!!! Ugghhhhhh!!! Not looking forward to it.. But 14 days.. The countdown begins!!!

Can't wait to hear from you!!! Stephanie

Aww thank you so much Lynn2win! And let me tell you guys I felt all of your prayer! Thank you all soooo much! My surgery went really really smooth. I was in surgery at 1230 and came out a little after 1! The pain is not bad. Just right after surgery the worst part OS the nasuea. It was really bad. But just take the nausea meds and sleep and it gets a lot better. I'm still on my liquid Vicodin and it helps a lot. They also discharged me at 530 pm yesterday! So I got there at 11 and left at 530! All the staff was super nice and they took such great care of me! I couldn't have asked for a better staff to take care of me and they answered all my questions and were very paitent with me. I was also up walking an hour after surgery. Just everybody is different and be paitent with yourself! God bless you all for the prayers again! You stay in mine as well!

Rachel

Jakat.. Are you going to Dr. Curry as well?? My surgery is on the 24th.. How is your liquid diet going???

Funsize.. I did mostly drinks.. Fruity ones.. eggs were nasty, hot chocolate was surprisingly good.. In the past I did a liquid diet.. So I stuck with mostly fruity drinks.. The crunchy variety pack of bars are ok as well.. All the best!!

You weren't being silly. We all worry. We have so much hope, desire, time and energy devoted to reaching our sleeve surgery. It's just an intense time.

Today I am worried that I won't get a surgery date until December. I have to (and want to) make a trip to Viet Nam in March. I am so worried that I'll be stuck traveling with my CPAP machine. Plus, when I get back, I'll have to present a video of the trip with my 5x5 (5 feet all, 5 feet wide) body filling the screen!

I am so happy to hear you are doing well. I can't wait to hear about your weight loss.

Tina

lynn and need a sleeve, Yes I am going to Dr. Curry. I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet. I get sleeved on 9/24. I don't mind the eggs. I put a little spray butter on them, the chocolate chip pancakes are ok. the chx noodle, chx and rice and beef and Pasta Soups are ok, but real bland. the carmel nut and carmel rice bars are ok, really surprised how small they are and u are only allowed 1 bar per day. The first night was the worst. I went cold turkey from caffeine and had a MASSIVE headache. other than that going well, jest getting use to eating so often is a different, but all part of the lifestyle change.

Hey ladies I am six days post op and I weighed in at 262 on their scale and on my scale I weigh 251.4! So already down 10 pounds! I quit taking pain meds on day 2.5 and I haven't taken nausea meds since the night of surgery I take meds everyday for the gerd though. I'm still having stomach growling and I feel hungry but nothing like it was and the nurses said it was normal. That this is the mental part of the surgery. I'm holding up really well! I.hope all you ladies on pre op are hanging in there and I wish you all the best of luck! Tons of prayer and good feelings towards you all! Ohh and the pain now is so tolerable it just feels like I've done a tonnn of sit ups lol (obviously I haven't hahaha) almost time for for pureed foods! Excitement! Hahaha

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
