Whatever floats your boat. Here are three examples to give some food for thought. You can Google and find many, many more:
Successful Weight Loss with the Gastric Sleeve: http://www.thegastricsleeve.com/about-our-book.htm
    Peachtree Bariatrics Sleeve Guide: http://www.peachtreebariatrics.com/docs/Gastric-Sleeve-Patient-Manual.pdf
    Barnes Bariatric Surgery Manual: http://barnesweightlosssurgery.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Barnes-weight-loss-manual.pdf
Point being, this isn't all science. Some of it is art. There are variations in all pre and post-surgery programs. If different surgeons give different guidance, you can educate yourself to find what works for you.
For example: some, when having a stall, are directed to eat less. Some are directed to eat more. Point is, no surgeon or nutritionist can know you as well as you know you. If you stall, try eating less. If that doesn't work, try eating more. Don't let a manual override learning and common sense.
But, I also understand where you're coming from. We all have our choices to make so we can live the way we desire.
    Good luck.

That's a major NSV. The thing is, once you know you can handle temptation, the next time will be easier. Congrats.

I agree with 7carol13. Quit beating yourself up. We didn't get in the position to need this surgery without food issues. It is TOUGH! Nothing could be harder right now. Drink extra protien shakes, the higher in protien the better. Fill up on water. Drink lots of herbal teas, hot and cold. Just do one day or even one hour. You can do anything for an hour. Be proud of yourself when that hour is over. Next hour, new goal. You CAN do this.

Welcome Sunnymama10. I am a newbie too. I have two beautiful duaghters, ages 26 and 28. They are not thrilled that I am doing this, but I am. I am doing it for me. I have a lot of living to do and I just can't stand thinking about doing it as a chub. I sure get the "NO MORE" thought. In the pitch dark, with my friends at our annual girls night sleep over, I don't want to be the one who goes chunky dunking while everyone else goes skinny dipping. And, someday, when I am a grandmother, I want the energy and the good health to play with those babies.
Welcome to the losers bench. I am still waiting for approval. I hope you get yours soon.

Hello! I am a thirty-five year old married mommy with two beautiful young daughters. I have been overweight my whole life...of course interwoven throughout the years have been those "miraculous" diets that had me lose a lot(sometimes!) of weight. Then I would gain it all back, and then some. I have just reached that point where I am like "NO MORE!" so therefore I have decided to do the gastric sleeve. I did a lot of research on the types of weight loss surgeries and the sleeve seemed to be the best fit for me.This surgery is for me, my health, my sanity, and also my family. I am still in the process of getting approved by my insurance (bcbs) and have just submitted what i believe is all the requirements/labs needed. I have my fingers crossed for approval and I guess it is just a waiting game for now. So wish me luck and I hope to be writing again within a few weeks that all is well and surgery is a GO!
