Is it cold?? Is it only crystal light, or is it everything?? I really didn't have too much trouble after surgery, but anything really cold hurt my stomach. You could try it room temperature, or maybe mix it a little weaker?? Have you had trouble before...maybe sensitive to aspartame??

No and it was cold, but as soon as I drank my stomach was like oh no. I felt real tired and cramps with the sick to my stomach feel. I'm still new only 3 weeks post op.

I was wondering about this too, are you referring to abdominal pain or another type?

I'm trying to find out more about aspartame and it's affects on the body.

If you think it may be the aspartame (which I will not touch), try the new Crystal Light Pure. It's sweetened with truvia (stevia). I'm really sensitive to the lemonade type stuff as well, but the berry flavor hasn't bothered me. Good Luck !

I can't handle crystal light so I make regular kool aid with Splenda my pitcher is exactly 64 oz so it's a good way to keep track of my intake too!

No abdominal pain I felt like crap most of the day yesterday.... I drank the Crystal light natural lemon iced tea. I bought last night those 4c energy green tea mixes and now I'm worried I'll have the same effect with them

Maybe try something else with splenda (the natural have Stevia, right?). I know MIO is made with splenda, could give it a try and see how it sits. That seems really strange that it is only crystal light and nothing else. Like I said, early post op, sometimes cold drinks can hurt or not sit well, I know a lot of people that had to drink their drinks at room temperature or even warm. Other than that, I am stumped.

I drink ice cold Water all the time no prolems. I'm going to try the 4C Green Tea drink packets I bought and see what happens with those. It was my first time drinking crystal light after getting sleeve, and probably my last lol!

I don't do anything with aspertame...only Splenda or Stevia. My son gets terrible headaches and feels sick EVERY time he drinks anything with aspertame.

Aspartame (in anything) gives me horrible Migraines, so I avoid it like the plague. You might try 4C packets...they're sweetened with Splenda, and all the flavors I've had, so far, have tasted really good to me. Best of luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
