Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

I learned the hard way that my sleeve and coffee do not mix. I had a small skim milk latte and not even 10 minutes later I felt nauseas and had to run to the bathroom. Thankfully it came out the other end' date=' but it was horrible! Can anyone here handle coffee?[/quote']

I'm having no problem with coffee. I mix it with my Protein Powder every morning like a Creamer and it goes down fine.

Sleeved on nov. 6. I am eating a pretty good variety of things a 1/4 cup at a time. One thing my sleeve does NOT like is scrambled egg. Comes back up in 5 minutes. Maybe try creamy Peanut Butter. You can lick it off a spoon and it seems to go down well.

Happy holidays. Sleeve family. Quick update yesterday while finishing up some shopping I opened a scale and to my amazement from the start of this process until today I am down 85lbs and 65lbs from my surgery date. As of last week I have started eating more items and drinking more. I think a lot of it was my personal fear of eating but now eating like 4 small meals a day and a few cups of juice & Water a day.

Help!! I'm stuck. I have stalled and can not get it moving again. I've been lingering at the same total loss for 2 weeks. I have increased Protein, exercise etc to no avail. Getting really discouraged. I know that there is a common stall at week 3, but for how long? I feel like I've lost all I am going to and of course since numerous failed dieting attempts, this does not feel good.

I was stalled for just over three weeks.... I increased my caloric intake and the scale started moving again.... Not sure if it was related but it happened right away. :-)

Sometimes you can carb shock yourself into losing again ... Just load up on the carbs for one day and then give it a day or two to work.

I stalled for a while too. I was at the same weight for several weeks and it drove me MAD. Then all of a sudden BAM dropped 7lbs in a week! Right now I think I'm in another stall but I'm okay with it. I gained two pounds (THAT freaked me out) but I know it was mostly Water weight caused by eating take out one night which was full of sodium (chicken and chinese veggies, but man chinese food always makes me bloat!) I'm not going to weigh for a while- hopefully I can last until after the New Year- because I'll drive myself crazy. I've lost 56lbs (well 53 minus the water ugh) and I feel great- not gonna let body fluctuation weight piss me off!

Hope all my fellow November sleevers are doing great!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
