I wish I was pulling the numbers of a lot of you' date=' however, my journey is a slow and tedious one... I can't reallly tell the difference except maybe I have one less chin. Anyhow, I'm just over two months post op and down 40 lbs. I can't believe I'm sharing these photos but here it goes... (PS Thanks to all of you for the inspiration, you look amazing!)[/quote']

Forty pounds is a wonderful accomplishment ...especially in two months. Celebrate each victory you accomplished on the journey. You are living great moments...it's exciting;-)

Took some pics at the 70 pound lost mark to help give an idea of what some people might expect that are similar to my stats. I've been lucky with the skin so far. I have a few little wrinkles around my belly button that I expect to tighten up as time goes by, my arms are flabby with remaining fat in them but I wouldn't say lose skin exactly, same with my thighs. I've never been fond of my legs but now I have traded in a few cottage cheese dimples for some not so great drooping and almost roll-like remaining fluff on my inner thighs. My butt has flattened out and is now fuller on the bottom than the middle so no round badonkadonk anymore but still looks decent in jeans lol. And my poor poor boobies need a makeover ASAP. I'm 159 now at 6 months out this week,< 10 pounds from my goal of 150, HW was 230's and I'm 5'4". Hope this helps give someone some insight on what they might expect to see.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
