Duuuuude!! Idk what to say! But I will say tyvm 4 chiming in w those handsome pix. It gives me so much hope when vets come bck after yrs and prove just how 1derful they R STILL DOING, that this tool can last if used correctly. HELLO! I'm new here! nice to see everyone's progress... I'm 8 weeks post op...

This is my before and after pics

299lbs after 245

My current weight is 239 and I can now start to do some weight training(had a really bad hernia) so now things should be getting interesting ;)

Just over 3months post-op and down 60lbs. About 35 more to go!! The before pic was 268 lbs the current pic is about 210

I'm completely obsessed with my newly found collar bone!!

I'm one year post op (July 3rd), this picture is a comparison between june 2012 and june 2013...

Started at 140kg (308lbs), currently I'm at 87kg (192lbs).

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
