Its Offical Im In A Stall

Recommended Posts

So I should be grateful that I have gone 4 months without ever stalling but this is killing me! 14 days and not one ounce down. 75 to 80 minutes of cardio a day and 2 days of strength training a week, 80 ounces of Water, 70g of protien and nothing, ugh so frustrated right now. I want to just go to he'll with myself but I can't. I also haven't been (regular) at all. No bm for 4 days. HELP

Unfortunately stalls happen and cannot be avoided. I hit stalls many many times along the way. I even had times where a gained a couple pounds. The important thing to remember is to be patient because it will come off and you will get over the stall. Just keep doing what you are doing. Best of luck to you.

Try not weighing everyday. It is sort of like the watched pot that never boils. And do not underestimate the weight you are carrying as a result of 4 days with no BM. As much as you are excercising you should hopefully stay pretty regular. I would not go much longer before taking something that might get you "moving again."

Good luck and remember often after a plateau there is a big drop that has been hiding for a while.

I'm 2 weeks out and lost a rapid 20lbs and I'm at a stall!!! So I'm ok for now... It's been 3 days and no drop but I know their is no way this eating 500 calories a day will not equal weightloss. It just can't be mathematically correct... So I'm being patient.

So the mini vacation is over. Didn't do so bad. I will weigh in tomorrow and see if I need to do double workouts this week or if my nutritionist was right and the break in routine helped the stall. Thanks for the support!!

I am 4 weeks out of surgery...and I have also hit a stall. At three weeks out of surgery, I had lost 29 pounds...and now nothing, for about a week. It actually has me very worried, that I'm not doing something correctly. I'm sorry to hear of all of you having a stall also, but it really helps me knowing that I am not alone in this. For the people that have had stalls before...how long did your stall usually last? Just curious. This is a great forum.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
