I am tomorrow tooo if they let me. I have a cold and I'm so upset about it. This will be the second cancelation one more and I give up!!

I hope you are feeling better.

I myself am worried as well. I came down with bronchitis. I started on the Z pack this past Friday and took the last one yesterday Tuesday. My surgery date is the 13th of Sept. I feel okay except I still have a cough. The cough is no to bad but it comes in episodes. Ugh!!!

I'm on my way to Plano. Pre-op appt in the am and surgery Friday morning! Super excited but nervous about anesthesia. I'm having a revision. Lapband to vertical sleeve. When I had lap band, in recovery I had to be given epinephrine...maybe too much anesthesia? Any pointers from anyone? Current weight 237. Hope I do great with it and don't over eat!! Anything I should ask surgeon about bougie size and suturing? I heard it all makes a difference...my dr is dr. Cribbins

@ newgrandmother, I had my pre-op visit today and theni stop in Trader Joes and they have a Latin style Back bean Soup in the carton that is so good, only 70 cal. per cup and it really helps with the cravings, warm and spicy. I was going to eat something but my father is flying in from Philadelphia on Sat to be with me while I'm having my surgery and I decided to not eat until he gets here and I will have my last meal on Sunday, Laxative that night and surgery on Tues.

Something else I found to help me with cravings is Jello Mousse temptation, dark chocolate 60 cal and 0 fat. Hope that will assist you. Much Love...You will be just find...

Is nasogastric used during most all sleeve surgeries? I'm scared of that.

I am officially sleeved. Pain wasnt bad but i mostly slept all day. Im sore when i move around on the bed but otherwise nothing unexpected. My surgeon came in and stated it was textbook perfect and no surprises inside so im overall happy. Hope the others who have had or are having the sleeve this week do great!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
