Well folks,

What an experience! I am home now and a little sore. I had no problems with the surgery,or after. Very minimal gas pains too!

Thanks to all who have responded to any of my notes, they have all been really helpful!

I am going to lay down now, then out for a small walk!

Hey Chickaboom! Good to see you back. My pharmacy didn't have Adult liquid Tylenol so I got Children's and took extra. After my surgery, I was given 3 days worth of pain meds. They were tablets that dissolved in Water. Maybe you should ask your doc to call in a prescription?

Michelle!

Welcome back! The only place I could find the liquid tylenol is Walmart. It's in a red box and it's just called Adult Liquid Tylenol

I asked Rebecca how things went but of course she couldn't say anything! I'm thrilled that you at least feel up to posting!

How was the hospital? I hope you are feeling better and better each step of the way! Just get your rest and take it easy!

Post again when you can! I can't believe it ... you're in Bandlandia!

Tylenol Sore Throat Maximum Strength Adult Liquid is the very same thing. They both contain 1000 mg. acetaminophen. Just a little different packaging. (Can you tell I'm reading this off the bottle?) I guess their marketing figures they'll nab more customers with two bottles of the identical stuff.

You're absolutely right, Jeanie - I can never find the "real" adult liquid Tylenol, and always have to buy the sore throat version. The pharmacists have assured me it is the same thing, and doesn't include anything extra. Go figure... :D

Hi Bailey,

Glad your home and everything went well. I could onlyfind the adult strength liquid tylenol at Wal-Mart. Take it easy and do not over do it. My gas pains kicked in 3 days post op and boy did the kick in! 3 boxes of Gas X and 12 days later I was still blowin' em all out of the room! My boys and hubby loved it though to see their mommy fart like a pro!

I will have someone make a quick trip to Wal-Mart!

Michelle you crack me up! I have done 3 good, long walks today and I keep hearing a balloon letting out air type sound coming from my stomach, feels really weird!

Darcy, PM me with any questions! I loved the hospital I went through and the surg. was fantastic! She was there the WHOLE time before surgery while I was being asked a zillion questions. She stayed there to make sure all was done right!~

Baileym

PS Debra,

Please take my word for it, no need to worry, just show up and they handle the rest!!!!! she is FABULOUS!!!!:D

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
