June Sleevers! Hows It Going?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved 6/25. I'm down 27 lbs and have been on a stall the last week. Stepping up my Cardio and hoping I get over this hump.

I was sleeved the same day as you and had a stall this week too! I am only eating about 400 calories a day and walking a mile to a 1 1/2 miles a day!

I am ready to move one down!

I was sleeved June 11th and I'm another "slow loser." I've only lost 21 lbs since surgery. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I was sleeved 6/11 as well and only down 25lbs. It's hard not to be discouraged, but it helps to know that many of us are losing at the same pace. We may not get there as soon as some, but we'll get there! ;-)

I was sleeved on June 25th. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet. I am down 30 lbs as of today. Still on mushy foods. Only able to eat about 3 to 4 teaspoons at a time. I try to eat nothing but Protein to keep up my energy level. i still rely on Protein Shakes to get it all in. i do drink Decaf coffee. Actually had a decaf skinny cinnamon dolce latte from Starbucks yesterday. It was heaven!!!

Exactly one month down today (Sleeved on June 27th). Weighed myself this morning at I was down 34.6 lbs! YAY!!!! Feeling pretty good, on the soft foods portion still, but only 3 more days of that till our doctor moves us onto a regular (Obviously low carb and sugar) diet. Can't wait to have tiny bits of beef again! ha ha, I always have been a red meat guy, but I'll still probably eat a majority of white meat just cuz it's more lean.

I was sleeved on the 27th too. I'm down 37 pounds, and so happy with that. My doctor, I'm learning, is really, really thorough in making sure you're healed and ready. I have 2 more weeks of mushies.

I was sleeved 6/25, down 10 from pre-op, 20 since surgery. I've been eating soft cooked meats since last week and soft vegetables, toast. I still use Protein Shakes to get my Protein in since I can only eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup for a meal.

Sleeved June 25th and down 41 pounds. (11 pre-op, 30 post-op)

Weight loss is beginning to slow down a bit and I was told it would at my last Dr. visit on Tuesday. Down from 245 to 204 but it's beginning to be a battle to get to onederland.

I should update too! Sleeved June 25. My highest weight was 260, but I was 259 In February of 2011 when I joined my current insurer. February 2012 I was 233 and I entered our Bariatric surgery program. Was 190 on my surgery date. Had my 5 week post op appointment yesterday; weight was 164 and I got an inch taller! My goal is to get between 120-130. 34-44 pounds to go!

I was sleeved June 14, and am down 55 lbs. I've been on regular food now for approx. 3 weeks and can eat anything. The sleeve is well behaved. I had 2oz of sirloin steak with mushroom Marsala and a few green Beans. That is representative of a typical supper. I never get enough Protein but take my Vitamins and drink lots of Water and walk alot at work. Good luck to all!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
