"about Time" Whey Isolate Protein Powder

Recommended Posts

I ordered a couple sample packs, and was just curious if anyone else had tried these as I haven't really seen anything discussed about them.

Thanks!

I have tried the Cinnamon Swirl. It was "okay", but nothing to really write home about. I'm having a very hard time finding a Protein mix I like and can actually use more than once.

I was using Precision All Natural 100% Protein whey Isolate (Double chocolate Chunk) for several weeks preo-op and a couple of weeks post-op, but I just got so tired of it, it was getting harder and harder to choke it down every morning. It is sweetened with Stevia and not too sweet. The vanilla version of that same brand I found REALLY sweet.

At present I've been drinking the Oh Yeah shakes (ready to drink). They are also too sweet for me, but it's about the best I've found so far.

I desperately want to try the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, Syntrax and Costco's Premier shakes, but I am in Canada and can't get the Premier's here. I would have to pay A LOT of money for the Unjury and Syntrax to be shipped here, and I don't want to commit all that money only to find out I can't stomach it!

If I could get a sample of two of each, I would be happy to pay for that and then pay whatever it costs to ship full size amounts, as long as I liked them!

I really hate to hear your having such a hard time with your Protein drinks. Even ordering directly from UNJURY it's really expensive to send the sample packs? What about bjsbariatrics.com for the samples of Syntrac nectar?

Thanks for the tip JLewis! I took a look at BJ Bariatrics and I would have loved to order their sample pack! They don't ship outside the U.S.:wacko:

I've tried several of the About Time flavors. You can order a few samples from them fairly cheaply. I personally like them because they are not overly sweet and are not chemical, artifical or Protein tasting. They are 100% natural and not gritty tasting. Lower in calories than most shakes with that amount of protein. My personal favorite is the Mocha Mint, followed by chocolate and strawberry. DO NOT buy the Peanut Butter. It is pure nasty.

It is to me. I think About Time has under 110 for all flavors and the other brand I use frequently has 140.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
