Q For The Large Breasted Women, Ddd And Up

Recommended Posts

So LB has a sale and I need a bra, but don't want to buy four of the same size. The sale is buy two get two free. They don't offer much choices I like in my size so I'm limited to two styles. My question is should I buy two smaller ones or all the same size? My surgery is next month and I know my boobs will be smaller within two months.

To be honest, you have no idea what size you will be in one or two months. I am two months post-op and I thought for sure I would lose my breasts before anything else, but I am still the same cup size, just a smaller band size. If you can hold off on buying a bra then you should. Bras are so expensive, especially for us big breasted gals. :) I'd hate for you to buy a smaller size only to find it never really fits right. Good luck!

My only bra just broke, wire came out and have no support now, so I need one desperately. When I gain or lose my boobs did too. I just wont know the exact size. Thirty pounds ago my boobies were smaller, eighty pounds ago they were four bands smaller and two to three cups smaller. Ugh...I think Ill get two of my current size and two smaller. I don't mind cups that are too big but a band too small or big is more problematic. Right now the girls are 44/46 G/H. Ill figure it out.

I am 4 1/2 months out and I went from a 42ddd to a 40d so I did drop a bit. I would maybe go down one size at most, you never know!

And I just bought a couple new bras this last week. I lived with the baggy cups for a while!

I was a 40H in Lane Bryant bras at the time of surgery. I can't wear their bras now b/c I'm a 34 band size and the smallest they make is 38. However, I love their full-coverage bras so I had a tailor take in the band on two 38G bras. Cost $15 each. They work, for now, but the straps are a little uncomfortable b/c they rub under my armpits with the "smaller band." I dropped in band size first and fast losing about 4 inches in the first two months. The cup following a little bit here and there, then it's been back and forth ever since. It's hard to predict what you'll need in the future, but I'd bet you'll lose in your back-fat first. But remember the rule with bras: If you go down in a band size, you need to go up in a cup size unless you lose in both places at the same time. It's hard for some people to grasp, but it's true. I am wearing a 34H bra right now in the Freya brand, but can wear a 32G in the Aviana brand. Go figure.

I would check out HerRoom. I've ordered over $2500 in bras and swimsuits trying to find one that works for my size. Unfortunately, their sizing charts are from the manufacturers and are not always accurate. But their customer service team has been very good to me with all the returns (I sent back easily $2200 worth of merchandise) and free shipping.

I checked them and a few others looking fir a sports bra, but with the sale and coupon code Ill be getting four bras for fifty dollars. Can't beat that. I notice I lose band but the cup stays longer. At 200 lbs and an adult I wore 38ddd, smallest band I could remember as an adult. I can only remember needing a 42 F at 250, and now at 282 I need a 44 or 46 G, this is the same full coverage bra. Although I only need one I figure I might as well take advantage of their sale, plus I'm familiar with their bra sizing and at least I can take it into a store if they don't fit. I dunno...

I know I do want to get a really good sports bra by this brand with an E starting name. Heard it was good. Its 64 dollars, found a fifteen percent off coupon code. Can't remember though which website it was for. I think biggerbras.com

Not sleeved, but I would figure a bra BAND size for every 20lbs or so. I think that at a 46G now, with a month to surgery, would be safe buying one replacement bra in your current size and by three in the next three band sizes down. So a 44G, 42G, and 40G, which would probably take you anywhere between 60-80lbs of loss.

I was wearing a *tight* 44H about 40lbs ago and am in a loose (wearing it on the smallest hook) 42H right now. I can wear a 40H comfortably in the band but the cups are just a hair too small, so maybe 5 or 10lbs more will get me into a perfect 40H. So that would be about 50lbs for 3 bra sizes.

I don't lose too much boob when losing weight, it comes off my back first and lose in the boobs proportionally. But some people are opposite and lose breast first and back later.

Just keep in mind when you go down a band size, even if the cup is the same letter, it is actually a cup smaller. So a 40H=42G=44E/DDD, etc.

I was a 38 DDD. I've lost 83 lbs in 13 weeks. My boobs have shrunk but ironically I'm still in the same bra. I just buckle it in the middle instead if the end. LB makes some real good bras. Go ahead and buy two in a smaller size. Keep them in the bag with the tags and receipt just in case you need to exchange for a better fit that way you can take advantage of the sale.

I love shops like biggerbras, it gives you some good options for the bigger boobie ladies, as well as the smaller boobie ladies as well. As small as a 28 band.. But yea to the above post, yea, I think I'll concentrate on the band sizes more, because I can always put in them volumizing things I usually remove. Since I still have some of my 38 DDD's and one 40 G, I'll buy one or two of the next size down. Thanks yall.

Yep, makes alot of sense keeping them in plastic. I'm so curious to know what my boobie size will be once under 200. We are all big boobie people in my family. I think I'll end up a D, a pancake D, lol.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
