Anyone Recieved Plastic Surgery In Mexico?

Recommended Posts

Dr. Bello was not the cheapest nor was he the most expensive. I trust Dr. Aceves and this is the doctor he recommends so that is good for me. I will make sure I let you all know how it goes!

HI,

Yes i am having everything done at the same time. Dr. Bello ;likes you to stay in the hospital instead of a hotel, like alot of other doctors. I will be in the hospital for seven days. So i will fly home on November 19th.

You all are so brave! I wish I had the courage. I probably will have no choice but to go to mexico! Do they take care credit? I need fat transfer into butt and thigh lift...just went for a consultation and dr. Said these should be separate surgeries.

How did you get in contact with Dr. Bello? I tried doing some Internet research and didn't come up with much.

Hi,

I went through Nina with Dr. Aceves. He just called me and we talked and talked. I sent him pictures and he called me back again to discuss. Let me know if you need her email or i also have Dr. Bellos too. They gave me emails of past patients and I emailed them. They were wonderful and love the treatment and outcome of their surgeries.

If you do not want to go to Mexico' date=' New York Eye and Ear hospital in Manhattan, is a world renowned for it's head and neck plastics, developed a cosmetic surgery fellowship that offers low cost surgery 3000-4000 per procedure. The surgeons are all board certified, have already done a plastics fellowship and have decided to super specialize in cosmetics. i had a breast lift for 3000 and a lower body lift (Full circumferance zipper) AND a Tummy Tuck for 3000. I did this after a big weight loss (that failed a year later) and although I have gained the weight back, I don't have saggy boobs or an apron. They did a phenomenal job.[/quote']

Tell me about your cosmetic surgery; did you get it done in the US or Mexico? Did insurance cover if in the US? If so ; on what grounds?

And are you satisfied with the results?

I had my surgery in Acuna, Mexico. After crossing the border the hospital is just a few blocks. My doctor had performed SURGERY on my cousin who also had no complications & has done very well. He knows of others tht used same doctor w no complications. Its a private hosp owned by some doctors. My doctors name was Dr. Luis Alberto Cruz Gandara, he went by Dr. cruz. There is a plastic surgeon that is a doctor in this hosp. (sry I cant think of his name) he said he ws very good.

If you're interest I can give you his number & you can tell him I recomended. Just let me know.

So did you fly into Mexico for the surgery or fly into California and drive over the border? I think I am the most nervous about flying to Mexico than anything else. I would rather fly to another state and then cross the border by car. Did they provide the transportation?

Thanks!

I live in Texas & its about a 6-7 hour drive. So we drove in. Its real close to Del Rio so we stayed 1 night there & drove in for surgery.

S.O.P. for TJ. surgeries is a driver picks you up @ San Diego airport. And they drop you back there before your return flight.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
