Sleeved Today

  • Popular Post

Will the day finally came. This morning at 10AM I was sleeved. I woke up with pain around a 6 and they quickly got that down to a 3. Rested in my room most of the day and started walking around 4:30. I have been on 4 walks so far, each one farther than the last. Pain is down to a 1 - 2 and thats with only using my morphine pain pump every 45 minutes to an hour. Walking is getting easier too, that first walk was horrible but now it's not bad.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. I ws just released from the hospital about an hour ago and am now back in my hotel room. I am simply amazed at how pain free I am right now. Just sitting here I would say i have ZERO pain. It hurts to stand up and sit down but just for a few seconds. I have been trying to get plenty of liquids in today... Slow Small Sips is truly the key. I was on a morphine pump yesterday but didn't use it past 9pm last night. I did hit the button one more time today just before they took my drain out to help with the discomfort. I'm getting the liquid pain killer RX filled but don't think I'll need it much. I am exteremely pleased with my surgeon. He was AWESOME!!!!

I am so happy for you Gene, that is awesome! I too was just like you...pretty much zero pain. Congrats to you , best of luck on your new journey!

Have you lost any weight yet?

Im curious about not being able to drink with meals. I know your not on solids yet but let me know how that goes. Thats going to be the hardest thing for me I think.

How wonderful to hear that you are doing so well!!! :)

I like you am concerned about the eating without drinking but like any other habit, we have to break it!!

Congrats!! I am a week out today and feeling great !

How is it going for you with the liquids being a week out of surgery?

Congratulations on starting your journey. I hope to do the same soon.

Welcome to VST!!! When is your sleeve date?

Glad to be a part of VST. I haven't got a date yet ...according to my doctor I'm about three months away from a possible surgery date.
