i wonder if they put those on everyone's legs. girl you're a mess...talm bout the man caught you. i can just imagine the look on your face.

i have my surgery on 7/18/12 at 2:30. they told me don't eat after midnight...i told the nurse y'all won't have to do the surgery cuz i'mma dead from starvation! i don't know how i'm going to pull that off.

swimming is a very good workout. i wish i knew how to swim...city girl! lol i fell out reading about your leather pants...girl stop! please don't be like him...he looked too hot and sweaty...lol

yes it will be different but you will be so happy and excite you will comply and after a while it will be a piece of cake. i think the biggest part is getting pass the mental stage of it all...cuz we're guilty of eating when we're not hungry' date=' bored, etc. also you're friends/family will be understanding and supportive. YOU'LL DO GREAT!!!!! CHANGE IS GOOD!!!!

girl out of all my appointment she was the one i wanted to smack the most...why did i have to answer 564 true or false questions?!!! i was livid! i didn't have time for that! it took forever! she's the one that should have been answering the questions...not me.

hey do you know you're total out of pocket? what are your starting stats if you don't mind me asking. you can always pm.[/quote']

Our bodies are different. If Im full of liquid ...I need 2 stop. I kept drinking. I got sick. Drinking too fast caused me 2 get sick too. Cvs brand Nausea relief liquid. Kroger also makes a brand too. It helps. I took 2 many Vitamins and did not wait. That caused me 2 get sick too.

One nurse I had...I really liked. When she give me medication she cleaned the line then she give me the medicine. I did not need any meds for a long time. The other nurses they rushed. They did not clean the line. They shot the meds. The meds did not last long. I been drinking my a off and its working. I don't want 2 deal with those lazy heifers . The nurse ask the tech to walk me. She did not want 2. I said you don't have too. She said I came all the way down here. Let's walk. I guess she thought I was going to report her. So she started talking 2 me. She said she had the sleeve. I could not tell. She said she eats whatever she wants. She drinks sodas and everything.

Oh

we had 2 take a 60 question exam t/f fill in the blank before surgery. I took it in the docs office. They said if u don't pass it they will reschedule your surgery. I forgot all about it. I end up missing one. The lady in the office said they take it serious. She had the sleeve done too. And gained a lot of weight back.

I saved and spent 2 much money 2 fail at this. My blood pressure is down. I.was on 200 a day now down to 100 once a day. The doc said I can get off soon. I can start eating regular foods around the the 8th of August. I plan on making my menu and posting it 2 the ice box.

I live in the city lol. One girl ask me if I lived on a farm lol. U must live up north?

1138.54 plus the 200 for the hospital stay

I am in San Antonio. I think my nerves are kicking in me because it s coming up. How far out from surgery are you?

I was sleeved last Tuesday. I got out the hospital that Thursday. I did not like being put under. I woke up in major pain. Nothing worked. I also work up with a little black bag around my neck it had a round plastic bottle inside. Its medicine after 3 days you pull this long string out. The nurse pull it out for me. I was suppose 2 go home with me. It did not happen. Iv had surgery before ....it was nothing like that. Our bodies are different . I wanted a baby. Thinking about that pain makes me say No way. I never in life want 2 get cut again. Unfortunately, I have 2 have a c-section. Previous surgeries require me 2 have one. Most people say its not bad. One of my good friends had a bad experience with her c-section. She has only one kid. She said she will never have another baby.

Now, Im working on stay hydrated. I can say today is a better day. Prayer works.

Just pray and ask God 2 help you. This older lady I know felt my pain in the hospital. She called me and started praying for me.

Glad you're feeling better. I have had 3 c-sections so I know what pain is like. I hear that you cannot compare the two. I get sleeved Monday and I am excited and nervous at the same time. I will let you know how everything goes. We can support one another...prayer does change things!!

I've had four c-sections and outside of the first one they were a breeze. The key for me was getting up walking. I've also had laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder, now that surgery sat me down. I'm hoping the sleeve surgery is nothing like the latter. I'm so scared about the gas pain and having a bunch of little scars on my belly from the surgeries, hopefully they can sort of use the same ones. All the best to you all in your journeys.

Zeta, I had a c-section with no pain or I'll effects. No pain meds beyond the hospital. Up and taking care of my daughter once my legs regained feeling. Everyone is different, so don't let a few bad experiences scare you off if you really want a baby.

Im just a little scared of getting cut right now. Six months from now my mind could change. Right now noooooooo.. My poor hubby said ...please don't say that. Our bodies are different. I went from 250 to 223 over the months. Im happy with that. You will be ok. My cycle pain plus the pain from the surgery was a bad combination.

Zeta you don't even remember the pain afterwards and every time you look at your precious baby you'll go through it 10x over.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
