Wow! I've had stalls (3 to be exact) and have never lost 7 lbs in 1 week. I'm so envious! Congratulations!

I was so excited when I stepped on the scale this morning. I don't know how I did it. Just upped my Water, calories, and exercise. I guess that broke it. Hadn't lost any weight since week 4. 3 weeks worth of nothing. Then pound by pound everyday this week. 54 pounds gone forever :-)

Still no loss. I am in the stall from hell. I just wanted to lose 5 pounds for this challenge and somehow I have not managed to lose a pound. I gained a pound last week but lost it again. Holding steady here at ~147 give or take some ounces. Anyone with any ideas? I have been here for about 3-4 weeks now. I realize I am 10 months out now and the last 10-12 pounds would be slow but this is nonexistent. I go on vacation tomorrow and was sure hoping to be at least a normal weight by then (which is 2 pounds from now).

Hey there,

Just some thoughts. I'm certain you are eating right, but maybe your body has adjusted to whatever routine you are doing. Depending on what track you are following (calories/ carbs, etc), maybe consider upping a bit? Or, maybe go the other way. You know your body best, but I would try to find a way to shock your metabolism somehow. Your stall will break, have faith. I'm struggling too. Just did my first Zumba class yesterday to help with more calorie burn. It was a blast. I was 2 left feet, but still had fun.

Today I weigh 146.6 lbs. So, I've made my 4th of July challenge. :) I know that I may bounce up some but I'm going to take this loss and run with it. :) I'm totally excited! Now to get a plan for maintenance. That's the scary part. I will have to switch my obsession to exercise now and not weight loss. I can do this. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
