I Am Slowly Going Crazy!

Recommended Posts

I got sleeved May 20th so I am only 4 days post op. On the bright side I'm not hungry. On the other side I can't stop thinking about food.... things I want to eat, I would love a bite of mashed potatoes!!! But I'm not hungry, I know I am not the only one that is dealing with this. I dreamt about chicken last night. But I'm not hungry.... dealing with the head hunger is terrible. Can we "sleeve" our brains? I know it will get better as I progress through the next few weeks and start seeing the scale drop. I head home tomorrow so hopefully being hame and not stupid bored in a hotel room will make a difference, but I have to remember I am not hungry.... just a bit crazy!!!

I watch Man v/ food and Anthony Bordain No Resevations; my husband was like "WTF are you doing? Why are you doing this to yourself?" They don't get it. I'm not sure I get it. At that moment, I could enjoy watching it.....

I want to CHEW something... sick of drinking my food. I'm not necessarily hungry, but I want to crunch on some carrots in a BAD way!

I spent my post-op time watching Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Every time he'd go "That's MONEY", I'd make myself take a sip of water! LOL It amused me.

I got sleeved on May 18th & went home & started watching the food Network also! It was so crazy, I haven't watched that channel in months & now it's on my favorite list...I too watched Guy as I sip, sip, sipped on my clear liquids...very strange indeed...I'm sure it means I'll be needing lots of therapy to get down this road...

I had to do something to remind myself to drink! :) I'd have played quarters with my water bottle if I'd thought about it! LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
