I was post-menopausal but had been spotting off and on for a few months prior to the VSG. After the surgery my period came back.... and it has been going now for 3 months. I took my sainted mother's advice and told my PCP who was concerned enough to order a sonogram which showed an enlarged uterus which had him send me to a gynecologist who did a biopsy and found that I have endometrial uterine cancer. I go Tuesday to the gynecological oncologist to see what is to be done. Go figure.

I was regular prior to surgery and now the days between have varied . . . 26 days one month and 31 days the second. Also, the flow is A LOT heavier than normal for my two cycles since surgery. I think it's to be expected with all the changes our bodies are going through. I take Tylenol for cramps. Good luck!

Had surgery May 1st, 2012 and have been regular so far. PCOS symptoms seem to SLOWLY be fading away with the exception of the hair issue. Even the "buffalo hump" is disappearing!

Mine went haywire after surgery, I was having one every 2.5-3 weeks with spotting in between. My OBGYN said it would be like this for months. Noooooooo! About a month ago my sister told me about taking cinnamon and cayenne to help regulate and moderate TOM. I was skeptical but willing to try anything, so started adding 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and cayenne pepper to my morning Protein shakes. To my shock, the spotting stopped immediately. Thursday I started TOM (right on schedule for the first time in 4 months), and it's much lighter and hardly any cramps. There is a lot of info online about the natural benefits of cinnamon and cayenne, I suggest doing some research to see if it might help you.

Mine is on every 3-4 days. I've had an IUD for 4 years and since surgery it has been crazy. My nut told me it can be from surgery but check it out with gyno to be sure...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
