An on the third and very nervous

Yes I started on shakes (awesome) 4 weeks ago and lost 16 lbs people now make me question my decision. But I know in my heart this is what I need to do. I'll say I am very scared!

Congrats Furby!

I am so jealous of all of you June sleevers! I don't go until July 9. In actuality, though, I know the time is going to fly by.

Ha ha ha. If that's even a concern then you've got this thing licked.

:) the other thing that I'm nervous about is waking up and screaming help. I don't want to be that person that is freaking out when waking up lol

I woke up normal in room and had to get up and walk around the hospital, but who knows what I did or said in the recovery room. They knew I was concerned going in and said they have seen it all before, no worries. No one said anything to me and The last thing I remember is counting for the anesthesia.

Will they let you wear a small stud? If not put it back in as soon as you wake up. Doubt if it will close in just a few hours.

When i had my gallbladder out i had a ton of piercings..(tongue, navel, ears, nose) and for my nose i used a lil bit of fishing line and tied a knot and cut off the excess. I couldn't even tell i had something in my nose like i do my stud now. This is my second time having my nose pierced so i know for a fact they close fast (faster then most). They also make clear plastic studs that can be used for surgeries..i think the thing they do not want is the metal. I would confirm if you can just use a clear plastic stud or if not think about the fishing line or something similar and when you are in recovery you can probably put it back in. That is something ill have to ask my surgeon when i see him!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
