hi - so glad WLS went well for you, and you are now on the losing team.

as far as "opting" out of getting all those emails, i believe you can contact administration with your request and they should be able to help you out.

maybe another sleever will see this email you wrote and have a clearer response to help you.

i think theres a way to compact emails you receive and by receiving one email for many responses to that title. something like that. fellow sleevers - please help with a better explanation. i know there is a way that you don't receive soooo many emails - hope someone else can help.

BTW please don't "SPAM" us fellow sleevers, makes us feel yucky, technical term. ;)

sounds like you are new to the neighborhood

continued luck on your journey

best

kathy

Thanks for your response! Sorry about the spam. I think it's only spam if I'm trying to sell you something! But I get what you're saying.

So here's an attempt to elevate this threads value above spam:

It's been 13 months since I had the surgery. Lost 115 lbs since. Everyone asks "how did you do it?". At first I avoided the answer, but now I say, "I took extreme measures" if they press I tell them. With one curious friend I had to draw a diagram .

I don't have any reflux issues, but I still have to take some pills to keep it at bay.

For the last 3 months my weight is holding. I do want to lose another 30 lbs, but suddenly it's super difficult to lose weight. I know I have to exercise more to do that.

I'm a vegetarian so it is a pain to manage Protein and carbs. I try to drink at least 1 New whey Protein a day. Also I eat a lot of TVP (I soak it in Tomato sauce). Thank god for tvp! Btw I do not advocate vegetarianism, it's a pain in the neck to try to avoid carbs and get enough protein.

I guess that's it. Thanks again for the reply and in that pretty font. Of course I know you replied because it came via email!

nice to hear from you too, I know what you mean about the spam as far as people trying to sell you stuff and other bad junk you just don't need to hear about. - who needs it

you are such a success story - 115 lbs down in 10 months and still going strong. i'm sure you look fantastic - sounds like you are in a mini stall and those 30 lbs will come off in their own sweet time. ;)

i don't know anything about being a vegatarian, what special beliefs you have etc. (nothing wrong with it of course, no offense intended) - not not for me, but curious about "life of a vegatarian 101" :)

best in your future

kathy

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
