I hope you find someone:) I just wanted to say good luck. I was sleeved by Dr Kelly on 3/9 and it has been great from day 1. I never had pain, nausea, haven't been immune to the stalls but I have lost 33 lbs so far!

Thanks DDFinn, congrats on the weight loss! I'm hoping mine comes off quickly too
:)
.

sam74, I see you're from NC too! Maybe we will run into each other between the hospital and the Lucerna. Good luck!

sherlee, I hope so. Yep, I started it last Tuesday. I am staying hungry all the time but I've lost 7 lbs. V-8 juice is my new BFF this week and I made a puree (gerber stage 1 consistency) that was pretty dang good- dice 1 sm vidalia onion, stir in hot pan to get sweatin', add 2 chopped squash, black pepper, Water, & a little Swanson chicken broth packet. Cook til tender and puree the heck out of it-enough for 2-3 meals. What have you tried out so far?

How is the pre op going? Any new recipes? A smoothie King Just opened up down the street do I have been doing a gladiator drink everyday for lunch which is 45 g Protein and 2g carb. I just got my necktie sample yesterday so I will start to try them. I have been taking it one meal at a time, can't think about dinner or how much longer when it if only Breakfast. The time is getting close very fast.

Thanks, It's going good, I'm down 11.4lbs. I slightly cheated today though. I had a kids 4pc grilled chicken nugget from Chick-fil-a which are 80 cal, 1 fat gram (plus an applesauce pouch & apple juice on my preop list). I don't show any smoothie Kings near me, their smoothies looks good online and 45grams are a plus! My mama bought me a Ninja 1200 for mother's day so I'm sure I'll be coming up with something this week :). I'm thinking mashed califlower w/ a little chicken broth or skim milk would be good. I made a 8oz skim milk w/ 2 scoops of chocolate powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury for Breakfast which is 40grams. I tried the vanilla but blah, possibly since I added unsweetened frozen raspberries, very gritty. The Unjury chicken Soup mixed with Swanson flavor boost & warm Water is ok but the foam on top is umm...unappetizing though palatable. What's a necktie sample?

I know I'm so excited it's almost here! My daughter gave me her souvie request list already lol. She broke her foot at school Thursday so I'm gonna be getting my exercise pushing her around until then. Are you ready?!

Ok, Reese and Crystal what have you been eating? I panicked today because I had been doing Protein Shakes and throwing fresh fruit in them with skim milk and now I am not sure that is allowed. My hubby made me homemade chicken broth for dinner that I am going to eat and I ate yogurt and creamy Tomato Soup for lunch but I just hope that I interpreted the pre op directions correctly. I need a piece of mind because I really want my liver in good condition for surgery. I still have 8 days to get it right.

sherlee, I had a Protein shake for Breakfast, a few spoons of fat free refried Beans for lunch, and wonton broth from the hibatchi restaurant for supper. I'm probably going to have a Fiber one key lime yogurt for snack. I haven't tried it yet, but I bought a butternut squash healthy choice Soup for lunch tomorrow. It looked pureed on the picture. I'm seriously tempted to buy some fruit baby food.

tsleeve & reese, good luck to both of ya'll and maybe I'll see you there.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
