HEy everyone. I was wondering if anyone else had late periods after the sleeve. I'm about 7 weeks post op. had a period about 2 weeks after surgery and was expecting it again 6 days ago. I'm starting to panic. I was thinking w the rapid weight loss maybe that's y I'm late. My husband had a vasectomy after our second child, but heard those tubes sometimes grow back. Really hoping to hear this is normal after the rapid weight loss.

Yea l am almost 2 weeks late! Had my normal cycle which was 3 days post op last month. This month nothing and I am super regular. No prego scare so it must be the rapid weight loss

It is definitely causing great anxiety with me. After my surgery I had it for two weeks, then it started two weeks later. It has been screwed up ever since then. My cramps are severly first.

Yes, this is common. You can also have heavier periods ( I know, who wants to hear that!) Mine has been early, late, split up, you name it, since the surgery.

Having surgery caused my cycle to come a week early the first month and a week late the second month...I completely understand feeling panicked!!

gosh what's that??? just kidding! my LMP was November 4, 2011 and i wasn't sure what to expect post surgery. I'm only 48 but if i'm probably pre menopausal. Went for annual and everything checks out ok so maybe Aunt Flo will show up and maybe she won't. After 35 years, i can't really say that I miss it. Its been kind of nice not having to deal with it, however; i stay prepared just in case. Now that i've had surgery and my hormones are doing something different i'll let you know if she shows up :)

I had a Mirena before surgery... (my cycles have always been very heavy and irregular due to PCOS)... got the Mirena taken out Dec. 5... Surgery Dec 19... Still no cycle... Headed to my gyn next week... I'm not complaining... I just know what lies in wait when it happens!!!

I had a period every two weeks the first three months post op. Prior to that I hadn't had one in 3 or 4 months due to PCOS. I started using NuvaRing a little over a month ago and things have finally gotten back on track. I haven't kept track of how many days between cycles, but I know a few days after I remove the ring I get it and that's good enough for me. No chance of a baby right now anyway!

Did you have to have it removed or was it just time for it to come out?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
