Sleeved: 3/13

Still struggling to get in all of my fluids. Not crazy about the taste of things I should be drinking but it gets easier everyday!

March 26, 2012 here! Been doing well. Started at 274 and this morning was 246.8. Yay! Been exercising - mostly walking but did a slow jog last night. My only complaint is my aching mid back. Trying to work on strengthening and stretching it!

I'm 7 weeks post-op today and down 40.5 lbs since starting my 2 week pre-op diet. I'm doing very well but have had occasional times

where I vomit if I eat a bite too much. Last night I vomited from drinking Water hours after I ate and I think it may have been that I took

sips too large or too fast.

My surgeon has a pretty strict diet compared to others - no carbs other than veggies and fruits for 6 months, etc. I have not had any stalls

and I think that may be part of the reason. It's a fantastic program which they tweak when needed based on patient's experiences.

I am getting a little bored with food choices and trying to think of new things to eat. Yesterday and the day before around 4 pm was the first time I have felt real hunger - as in "I need to eat right away". I hope that feeling stays away.

I need to bump up my exercise. I ordered Zumba for WII and it's supposed to arrive today. I'm already in my exercise clothes ready to go.

I was sleeved march 22nd. My starting weight was 263 and my current weight is 238. So I've lost a total of 25 pounds so far. Like many of you said---I lost 20lb of that within the first 2 weeks. and then only five pounds since then!! So that's been a bit frustrating. But everything has been going great! I love my sleeve!! :) only 88lbs until goal????

I had to quote you because we started around the same time and same weight...

I thought I was doing good until I read your post. Lol! I started at 243.6' date=' surgery weighed 231.6 (on 3/13/12) and now 208. Here I was thinking I was a fast loser, but at only 23.6 lbs lost in 6 weeks I guess the jokes on me. Ha! I hit a stall 9 days out and stayed there for 2 weeks. I guess all things considered I'm still pretty proud of myself. Wonder woman, you are a true wonder. Any tips you want to share? You are doing so great.

Congrats to all the March losers (including me)![/quote']

Thanks for the compliment but I thought I was not doing as well as others lol I guess this just goes to show comparing ourselves to others doesn't get us anywhere! Really the only tip I have is to use my fitness pal, it's made tracking things easier and it's great to see how others are eating and get ideas for meals. My MFP ID name is kll72, you can friend me and see my food diary. Hope that helps and I think your doing great!!

I was sleeved on 3/14, starting weight was 230, 217 day of surgery, 195 today...35 pounds so far. Feeling great, exercising and loving being sleeved. I also am getting bored with my food choices as I pretty much eat the same thing everyday. I need new food options. Any suggestions...

I was sleeved March 21. Weight when I started this journey in October 2011 -- 298; Weight day of surgery 248; Current weight 229. I've been true to the Diet Phases (Clear Liquids' date=' Full liquids, Puree, etc.) I have been walking 2-3 miles 5 days a week. A bit frustrated that I lost approximately 10 lbs each month prior to surgery and then a pound a day for the first two weeks, but only lost 5 lbs in weeks 3-4. I feel good but needed 3 solid weeks to build up my energy. I am craving salads and broccoli![/quote']

I too was sleeved on the 21 and I started at 258 and am 236. I feel like I am loosing toooo slow!!! Congrats to u!!! I am eatin whatever I want

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
