March Sleever's Status Update?

Recommended Posts

How are all the March Sleeves Doing...I'm stalled out right now have not lose any weight for about 8 days... but I been walking 2-3 miles every other day....trying to eat my Proteins first. I slip up a couple times...gave into sugar cravings. I been pushing fluids but that's a uphill battle. I feel GREAT...and have a lot of energy...Feel like a 20 something :) Please share any ideals and updates!!

I had surgery on 3/15 and things have been a bit rough. I have lost 21 lbs since surgery but between the blood clot and an infected incision and the fatigue and dizziness ...well...let's just say I'm glad the first month is over. I'm getting better but it has been a long and hard process.

I was sleeved march 1. Weight before surgery 211 weight day of surgery 187 current weight 159. As you seen in one of my posts I had a slip up too with sweets. Been excercising at the 3-5 days a week. 3-5 miles bike/treadmill then 20 mins of working arms/legs. I have been losing slowly. I just got over a two week stall! I too feel great. Have an unlimited amount of energy as well!!

I was sleeved March 21. Weight when I started this journey in October 2011 -- 298; Weight day of surgery 248; Current weight 229. I've been true to the Diet Phases (Clear liquids, Full Liquids, Puree, etc.) I have been walking 2-3 miles 5 days a week. A bit frustrated that I lost approximately 10 lbs each month prior to surgery and then a pound a day for the first two weeks, but only lost 5 lbs in weeks 3-4. I feel good but needed 3 solid weeks to build up my energy. I am craving salads and broccoli!

I was sleeved on 3/16. Doing really well, but also went through the plateau. I added a little bit of extra Protein and boy did that stall break - I lost 6 lbs last week. Down a total of 31.5 lbs. Unfortunately with all my walking an old injury flared up, so I have temorarily had to cut back.

Sleeved 3/12, weight the day of surgery: 271, current weight: 239! Woohoo! I've had numerous stalls, and due to my work schedule have had difficulty exercising daily, but I'm quite pleased with the results thus far. (and the numerous compliments from my husband and mother in law) :)

Hi all! I was sleeved March 12th. Was initially 240, Before surgery I was 228 and am now 197, so 31 lbs since surgery. While I am super excited to be below 200lbs for the first time in years, I am stuck on my second stall as well. I have heard that increasing protien can help break a stall but honestly eating is so much work (haha who would have ever thought I would say that) that I'm not sure at this time I can eat anymore. I'm just trying to stay positive and know that eventually it will pass... I hope :)

Was sleeved March 1 and I am down 50 lbs. I have officially entered my first stall and have been same weight for last week and half. I expected it so it does not bother me. Otherwise I am eating almost everything and enjoying my new life.

I had to quote you because we started around the same time and same weight...

I thought I was doing good until I read your post. Lol! I started at 243.6, surgery weighed 231.6 (on 3/13/12) and now 208. Here I was thinking I was a fast loser, but at only 23.6 lbs lost in 6 weeks I guess the jokes on me. Ha! I hit a stall 9 days out and stayed there for 2 weeks. I guess all things considered I'm still pretty proud of myself. Wonder woman, you are a true wonder. Any tips you want to share? You are doing so great.

Congrats to all the March losers (including me)!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
