Can't Believe I Just Ate All Of That!

Recommended Posts

I just started my mushies today(besides the few mashed potatoes I tried last night). I had my first post op doctor appointment today. After I was done I went buy taco bell & got an order of pintos n cheese. I was able to eat the Whole order!!! Of course I ate half of it.. Stopped then ate the rest about 2 hrs later. Is that normal??

I am almost 2 months out and can only eat about 1/4 of them and then I am so

Full!!! However there are certain things for me that I can eat more of. Maybe pintos and cheese is that one thing for you!

I still don't have the full thing down pat. Im confused about it! I don't feel exactly full.. I feel like a choking sensation in my throat & I'm assuming that is when I'm full... Can someone please help!!

I too struggle with the whole--- what does full feel like... I'm not sure I know either! But I usually will start getting hiccups or will feel it in my throat too! When I over eat my nose runs and I get that slimy feeling in the back of my throat! I'm still a newbie!

I looooove the pintos n cheese! I had them twice during my mushy phase. I could eat about 1/3 of them so I stretched them for 2-3 "meals". I was about 2 weeks postop the first time I tried them and they went down easy. I think I could probably eat a little more than 1/3 of them now but maybe not 1/2 and I am 4 weeks out today. I am still figuring out the full thing too - its not a completely distinct feeling for me but I am starting to notice little things that I *think* mean that I am either full or going too fast.

Don't stress yourself out about it. I can eat like that too. I can eat 2 whole hard boiled eggs at one time! lol I still lose weight, not slow or fast but moderately, and I am not even working out yet. I walk, but nothing other than that. (I get the go ahead for exercise this thursday). As long as you are following plan and doing what your suppose to do you will lose weight! Your gonna drive yourself crazy over-thinking everything lol

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
