Weights/ Walking

So there for awhile I was training with the c25k. I would do it every other day. Then on the opposite days of not training I would do lifting 2lbs weights because that is what I was told to use. So I decided to just walk at a brisk pace with 1lbs wrist weights. I have been averaging 2 miles a day. Is this good? Is using wrists weights good? Should I continue my workout with 2 lbs weights too? I'm 5'1" 218 and I am 28 yrs old. Any advice would be great!

In a nutshell, it's not good for you and also pretty pointless. You are better off doing what you were doing before - and lifting heavier weights. 1 lbs doesn't do much. You might as well walk with your Water bottle then.
