22 is awesome! Just think, without the surgery, it might have been plus 2 instead of down 22.

I know it's going to be difficult not to be a slave to the scale, but a pound a day sounds pretty sweet to me. Maybe they should take our scales along with our extra tummy space and not give the scale back for 6 months?

I felt the same way when I weighed in on Monday I was hoping for a bigger number. I have been reading that people have been losing 40 and 45 pounds by this week. I know we shouldnt compare but it is disheartening when you are killing yourself and you expect to see something that isn't there. I wish I had words f encouragement but I am kind of in need of some myself right now. Just know you are not alone in your feelings. I am right there. I just try to remind myself that even if I lee 2 pounds a week in 8 months 80 pounds will be gone. Good luck on your jouney!

I'm also feeling a bit that way.... I am 15 days post op and on Clear Liquids, so I'm not even eating anything and as of today I am down 17 pounds. I'm down a total of 34pounds (including the 10 day liquid diet before surgery). I'm chosing to stay positive and be thankful that I am most importantly losing! Good luck to you and I hope it starts to melt off of you!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
