Hi JaspersGirl-

Today is also my one-year anniversary too and I also have about 30 pounds to go. I would encourage to not put an expiration date on weight loss. This is your journey and it's not something that has to be completed by a certain date. Reevaluate if you need to but don't get discouraged. We'll get to goal as long as we believe we will. :)

Amanda

aww yay!! congratsz!!! I feel a connection to you know, lol. I am happy for you. And you are right! I am so glad I came back to this forum. You are all an inspiration!

Congrats! 69lbs is great. Don't be so hard on yourself, you can do it.

My only goal is to feel and be healthy - the numbers that are important to me are blood pressure, cholestrol, and pain when I walk.

Only two months out and feel much better already; don't worry about the scale - just know you are 70lbs lighter than last year and Celebrate your life

You know I read on a study that many people continue to lose another 10-15% on average in the second year of surgery. So really there is still hope for sure if you use the stats. Also, just using your own mind and motivation. You still don't have a 60 oz stomach. You still can't eat as much as before surgery and you probably never will. Use that tool and lose that weight. I know you can do it. I am a lower BMI like you and I am only 1 month out and I hope to reach goal by year 1 however, if I don't, I will keep working on it until I get where I need to be. A death in the family is very hard and that can very well explain some of your weight loss stall. I don't know anyone who wouldn't react very hard to something like that. Best of luck to you and yes please stay in touch. Sleevers who are over a year out often stop contributing to the community and that lack of insight is really sad. We need your input more than you know and appreciate it immensely.

so hard to focus on me :( sorry for the depressing tone.. but I feel blah!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
