Anyone Getting Sleeved On Leap Day With Me?

Recommended Posts

I checked, I can't have tuna or eggs until at least 2 weeks, but I can start on yogurt and ricotta tomorrow. YAY.

Somehow I managed to pull a muscle near my sorest incision. Ouch. And I'm having a reaction to the iodine stuff they clean you with.

Oh well, minor issues, hopefully I won't have any major ones!

I have to stay on liquids until two weeks. After that I can add on thicker liquids like pudding, yogurt ect. I did order the Unjury powder online and its helping me get my Protein in. The chicken flavor and the plain. Chicken blends in great with Soups and its 20 grams. The plain gets mixed in with Water and crystal light. So confusing how all the doctors have different diet plans.

It is odd. It seems I have the most relaxed requirements regarding food, but they were intense with all of the pre appointment and meeting and weightloss. (I had to lost 10% of my body weight first)

I went to the Vitamin Store to look at Protein powders while I wait for my unjury to come in, and they have nothing plain. The guy kept asking if I want something that tastes good or is plain. I said plain, everything tastes too sweet. And I don't want artificial sweeteners either. I have liked Jay Robb in the past, but haven't tried all of his flavours, so I'll try them.

Has anyone weighed themselves yet?

HI everyone!

I wanted to check in now that we're all a month out!

So far I'm good. I've lost 20 lbs (which I'm happy with 'cause I'm only 5'0")

I got stomach flu earlier this week , so it's been hard with that, but over all everything is good!

Hi!

So I've been on solids since 2 weeks... I did a week of liquids, then a week of yogurt and the like, then at my appointment we talked about how I can't tolerate Protein Powder, so I moved onto mushy foods, and I was told it was okay to move on anyhow since I chew everything so well.

I stick to mostly Proteins. A lot of chicken breast, sandwich meats (nitrate and nitrite free), a lot of whole eggs, some fish, and lots of chewing! I make sure everything is good and chewed before I swallow it.

I've had a tiny bit of bread, only once and it filled me up too much and I can't waste precious stomach room on anything that isn't Protein.

My biggest problem is that I don't have 45 mins to an hour to eat like was suggested to me. I have 2 young children. Time is a luxury. So I've had a few times where I've eaten too much and felt horrible, so I try to remember about how many bites I can have before I'm full. it's not the best way, but it's working.

I commented to my doctor at my check up that I was feeling hungry and he seemed baffled. I think I was feeling thirst. Although this week with having stomach flu, I felt hunger. But it's cause I hadn't eaten anything from tuesday at lunch until friday at lunch. (horrible flu going around here, it totally had me freaked out, but I'm okay!)

Anyhow, don't be scared! Just go slow to see what you can tolerate and chew chew chew chew chew, also chew some more. It'll be fine!

Have you started working out much? I've been walking a lot, haven't made it to the pool, just out of horrible schedules, but lots of walking.

PS congrats on 22lbs! YAY

I know I'm not getting enough Protein. It is very hard to remember on busy day sand like u don't have an hour! I never feel hunger so that's wierd!

Have a great day!

Just checking in on my fellow leap day sleevers. How is everyone doing? I am down 22 pounds not a, lot. I feel great. Eating is getting easier. Still having a rough time getting all my Protein and Water in but its getting better. Biggest challenge right now is knowing when to stop eating. Being full feeds horrible. How's everyone else doing?

I am also a leap year sleeves. Been on solids for about 2.5 weeks. Feeling good. Still trying to find balance and not eat too much. I have been having head hunger because of acidity. I am working on fixing that with meds. I am down 20, been stalled for about 1 week. Need to start walking more. I feel like I am eating to much. Need to start measuring more. Been trying new recipes. Hope all is well. I am tired and going to bed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
