I am almost 7 months out , I was sleeved on 8/2/11. I have always been vain about my thick hair, if nothing else was pretty on my fat body, I always had great hair! LOL! When I started losing hair by the HANDFUL, I went into a tail spin. I was cleaning hair out of the drains, off the hardwood floors, off the pillow. Nothing helped, not extra protein, not biotin...I was pissed. Well the hair loss has considerably slowed and today my hair stylist said she see lots of new growth! WOO HOO! So for those that are worried about hair loss, yes, you lose your hair but YES it comes back!!!! So now if I could only get off this stall and have the scale move again..........

Awesome!!! I'm also fearful of losing my hair.. I already have a spot in the middle that's thinning.... I'm hopeful that I'm losing weight slow enough where I won't have a significant loss... But, you post gives me hope that it will grow back!!! Congrats on being 7 months out!!!

favoredone: You have lost 30 lbs! That awesome bc that's weight that won't be coming back! Let's celebrate our successful weight loss. We worked hard at this!

This post gives me hope. I am 5 months out and my hair is coming out by the handful. I hope mine starts coming back soon.

I was sleeved 8/8/11 and I think my hair might finally be coming back too. My stylist said it's recovered enough to even go back to the coloring she was doing before surgery. I finally get my lovely blonde back this Saturday (and my grey covered). Yay for us!!!

Mine is still coming out...No new growth yet...I am at month 8 and am still losing!

Mine is growing back as well.....lots of little frizzies!!!
