  1. Re-energizing myself! I was down to 199 in August, and have slowly crept up to 210. My own bad choices. I am getting back on track....journaling my food and exercise patterns!!! I am accountable!

    Needs some motivation

I was sleeved on June 7, 2011. I started at 298 lbs. I dropped to 199 lbs. I've since settled at 210 lbs and haven't moved in 6 months. I'd still like to lose 50-60 lbs. (Goal weight 150 lbs). I've found myself getting frustrated with the stall and am falling back into bad head space habits, which then keeps the vicious circle in place. Even thought my portions are small, I'm not making the best choices in food anymore. My mother recently passed away at only 59, and I've used that as an excuse to get off of my exercise routine. So, I'm not gaining, but I'm definitely not going in the right direction. I just need some tough love/motivation today! Thanks, Melissa

    Needs some motivation

Thank you for the kind words and gentle push. I think I just needed to put it out there and see it in black and white. I've got a grocery list made for tonight and just signed up for a pilates class starting Monday. Thanks for being there!!!

    Not At Goal, Under Goal...

Good question! I have definitely slowed down, only losing about 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I still have about 50-60 lbs to go. I feel so much better, but am now impatient, lol!

    Fish

I actually eat salmon quite often with no issues!
  8. The strips and walking worked for me.

    Starting to date

I usually just tell people I've had surgery recently and have to wait a while to drink.....and that I'm still healing so a lot of foods still bother me. If they ask what, I usually use the very vague "female stuff" .....most people don't ask many more questions than that. It isn't that I mind sharing, I just don't want to share details with people I don't know. For me, that's just me in general...I'm fairly private overall anyway until I get to know people.

    Facial Hair Problems...

For me, it has definitely gotten better! Even taking the bio-oil supplement to help the hair on my head from falling out, I have still noticed that my arm and facial hair is so much better already!

    My first pics....

    You look fantastic....great work!!!!!
  12. For me, I've found that sugarfree popcicles are a requirement to always keep stocked! Also, watermelon and cantelope seem to curb my sweets cravings.
  13. My excitement today is that I got on the scale....61 lbs down! Which put me at having less than 100 pounds left to lose :)

    Embarassing NSV

That's awesome I wore a pair of jeans Saturday, and after I got home and was walking up the stairs in my house with my hands full, my pants fell down, lol! But, luckily no one around in that case!
  15. Such a fantastic story, way to go!

    Oh So Close

Congrats! I can't wait to be there
  17. I know I'm late to this thread, but I wanted to add my 2 cents. You look FANTASTIC! I can't wait to get to that point. More than the weight loss, the new boobies, anything.....the smile you have now goes all the way to your eyes; it's easy to tell it's REAL. I'm so glad you have that happiness with yourself. I'm only 3 months out, but that's what I can't wait to find the most. And, yes, I know it should always be there, but I've been missing it for a while, and am just starting to feel like myself again. Please keep us posted on your journey.....I too will have no qualms about doing some maintenance once I see where everything ends up! Thanks for sharing your story and the pictures...it really does mean a lot!
  18. I am just over 3 months out, and yes, I still have to force myself to get all the liquids in. I think maybe for me it's such a mindset change that I need to constantly have something I'm drinking, as opposed to gulping down 20 oz 3 times a day.......but I'm getting there!
  19. Just noticed the new pic.....the difference is showing already!

    down to a size 12

Congrats!! I can't wait to be there with you I just tried on a pair of size 18 jeans and they button, but are just a litle tight yet! So exciting to move down from a 24
  21. I think it may be iron supplements......I realized that this seemed to start about 3 days after I added an iron supplement. I'm going to try skipping it for a couple of days and see what happens.
  22. I tried searching, but couldn't figure out the right words to get an answer. I'm almost 3 months out and have had absolutely no issues until this past week. It seems like everything/everytime I eat I'm having much more nausea than I've ever had (really none up to this point). One morning I ate cottage cheese, just like I do almost every day, and immediately threw up. Several times since, I'm getting really gurgly stomach, sweating, and feeling sick to my stomach. This has been going on for about a week. There's no "pain", just nausea. It's making me extremely uninterested in eating or drinking anything. It's just so strange, up to this point, I've really had such a stellar experience, I'm concerned. Thanks for any insight and/or advice.

    Down 110lbs!

Thanks for posting! It's such motivation for me......to know I WILL get there!!! You look fantastic!
  24. Thanks Kelly, that's a good idea. I'll try just liquids tomorrow and see if it helps. And, LOL, absolutely NO bun in this oven!!!!!
