Hello everyone!

So it has been 2 weeks and I am starting to get really frustrated because my head is playing food tricks on me. I can't seem to get over wanting food I just can't have. Anyone go through this?please help!! I am now on purée food and just don't want to eat anything. Any ideas?

I have Done good so far and really need some support. I feel I may slip and really do not want to. I love this website and wanted to share my struggles. I have lost about 28 lbs with preop and feel like it is just moving slow. I am down to 209 which I am very happy for and want to keep going. I don't want to give up i think today is just a down day.

Any words or stories for encouragement would be very appreciated. I know there are those out there that actually have real issues and I sorry for sounding like I am venting. Just had to do it somewhere. Thanks everyone!

No problem. we all have bad days. I think I'm having a lot of head hunger. I just had to have a pastrami. I know I can't eat hardly any of it. But in my head I fantasized that it was so delicious. Actually it wasn't as good as I remembered it, but then I was determined to eat a whole half. Then it hit me, my sleeve was telling me no and I actually gave it up. This has really scared me. I ate 25% of the pastrami. Damn, I don't want to do that, it's so stupid.

Oops, sorry for hijacking your vent.

You will start loosing soon, you are probably loosing in inches. Your pureed food stage will be over before you know it! ;)

Are you only 2 weeks out? Truly you are just at the beginning. It took me several months to get a lot of the junk out of my head. It's a process. If you're like me you have built up a lot of years of emotional eating and now you're learning a whole new way of interacting with food. I can only speak for myself but this was a lot like going through a break up. A bad one!! I went into a depression in fact over it . Mourning the loss of my twinkies! The good news is that they cut out the part of your stomach that makes grehlin. I believe it takes a little bit to work its way out of your system though. For me it took a little while but as time went on I found myself less hungry. A lot less hungry. Things DID change. So that's the good news! Just hang in there

Hi, I am 12 days out, right behind you. My ticker does not show it for I want to update it monthly but I also am down 28 lbs. lol. I hear you about the food. I just started full liquids and it has been a big struggle. I go to eat a Soup , take a sip and do not want it. I am watching Paula Deen and Diners,,Drive ins and whatever it is. While I sit there and say man I wish I seen that before. I think that it is part of the process. Even if we did indulge we would soon learned that we really can't. I must say I really have not been that hungry but think of all the food I will miss out on now. I know that sounds piggish and horrible.

I also know that it would of taken me 4 months to lose 28lbs on a good diet try. I also know that I did not put myself and my husband and our bank account through this for nothing.

I can not tell you I know how healthy or skinny feels but I know I will like it more than eating my way into XXXX large clothing.

Remind yourself why you did it, focus on that. Your really doing very well and THIS TO WILL PASS. Remind yourself of that it is only for a season. YOU GOT ThIS!!!! ::)

Thanks everyone for the support. I am super new with my sleeve and am adjusting to my new healthier life. I think yesterday was just one of the "bad" days. Today is better and I determined to keep losing.

Thanks!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
