You may be prone to dumping. Had you had that many carbs before?

i was eating macaronni , with chips and some mashed potato , but i was eating them so slowly , i guess it is the dumping syndrome because im drinking Water and still feel there is space in my stomach . Do you think this is serious ? or just normal because its my first day eating macaronni since surgery

It sounds to me your body over-reacted to the carbs (a.k.a. sugar) in the food you were eating. Probably gave your body a jolt to have those foods after almost a month of liquid.

Take it easy and make sure you eat very slowly next time. If your doctor is similiar to many plans, you should be eating about 1/4 of a cup at each meal right now. Take 20-30 minutes to eat that much.

Just curious - what kind of chips were you eating? If "snacky" chips, you should be VERY careful. They could do some damage to a healing stomach.

Welcome back to the world of "real" food. :)

actually when i was faint and panicking my mother gave me a peice of chocolate and i felt so much better and thought that my sugar was low which made me faint . onion chips with low fat from marks and Spencer . I haven't eaten all day and i ate so slowly and chewed the food thoroughly before i swallowed it

I felt this same way in my 4th week a few times as I was trying new solid foods. I backed off my 5th week and have been slowly trying new foods, but relying still on mostly Protein Shakes and my sleeve has been much happier. Listen to your body. Not all of us are ready for solid foods just because our meal plan tells us it is time to introduce them.

Remember Protein first then carbs makes a full and happier sleeve.

The macaroni had too much sugar and fat in there. That was your stomach telling you NO don't eat that stuff. Protein first, always.

what do i eat to get my Proteins , its my 25th day

In my plan, yogurt, milk, Protein shakes, cottage cheese, cheese, flaky fish, dark meat poultry, and any Protein (chicken, pork etc) mixed with low fat mayo such as egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, salmon salad etc.

On my 25th day I wasn't ready for most of those foods yet, so I continued on full liquids and sampled foods (a bite or two) for flavor and fun, but not nutrition.

Consider logging your foods. Many of us use myfitnesspal.com

Best wishes!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
