Dr. Garcia - Tijuana

Recommended Posts

I was scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Kelly in Tijuana in March, and the Medical Tourism company called me today and told me they are no longer placing patients with him for surgery, and offered to have my surgery done by Dr. Garcia instead. I am wondering if anyone has had surgery with him or has any additional information on him? His credentials look fine but it's a little unnerving to have read a little bit about Dr. Kelly's troubles on the board yesterday, and then have this happen today where they change my surgeon.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I had surgery with Dr Garcia on Dec 11 and I have not one single complaint. In fact he is doing a seminar in Chicago this weekend and I am going to attend as I want to see him again and thank him for all that he has done for me in giving me a new life. If you have any questions and want to talk I would gladly call you or give you my phone number. I had my surgery at Hospital MI in Tijuana

I too had surgery with Dr. Garcia at Hospital MI in Tijuana on November 7/11 and had a great experience. Dr. Garcia's team are top notch and the staff at the hospital were the best. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Garcia. I am down 42 lbs. so far and have never regretted having the surgery. My sister and a friend also had the sleeve surgery with Dr. Garcia on Nov. 7th. He did all three of us the same day and they are very happy with the results so far. All the best to you in your surgery journey...

I would like to know more about this drama and other's experiences with Dr. Kelly. I have had great interaction with he and his staff this week and feel comfortable. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me yesterday. It would be nice to know more information. Does anyone know if there are any citations on his license to practice? I was considering Dr. Garcia first but then that whole Medical Tourism thing came up, and then I started looking into Dr. Kelly and was very impressed that he took the time to call me and answer my questions...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
