I am 4 weeks post op. Down a total of 47 pounds: 19 post op and the rest pre op. I had a vertical sleeve.

Anyone here available to be a sleeve buddy? My surgery date was 2/25. I'm 5'1. Pre-op weight: 212. Day of surgery: 192.8. Current: 176.2. I live in TX and don't have much of a support system. If you'd like to read my introduction to these forums, it's called "Lonely in Sleeveland." It's under the sleeve "tell your story" section. Thanks for considering. :)

I wanted to start a forum for members who are pre or post op and are 5'2" and under. I am 4'9" and post-op. In 4 months, I have lost over 50 lbs and would like to connect with others of my body type so we can compare stories and support each other.

I am 4'11" but whose counting? My surgery was 3/28. Would love to join group.

Hi, Guys!

I'm fairly new - still in pre-op. I'm 5' 2.5" -- can I still come out to play? :)

When I first saw my surgeon I was 271.2. I hope to get down under 150 (a weight I haven't seen since college.) I'm approaching 55 and want to be in better shape to see my kids (13 and 16) grow up and have lives of their own.

Hello Everyone! Looks like we are all over the place- some just starting, some waiting for surgery, some post op and still working on losing and some at goal. The common denominator is that we are all "petite".

I've never been a fast loser but I sure am consistent. I started almost 15 months ago and in a few days will be 6 months post op. Down almost 118# from start and 50 from surgery. Feel fantastic now- Can't imagine how I will feel when I get these last 33#s off my body. Oh yes, and I am 58.

I'm 4'11 and 1/2 but keep my hair big enough to make me look 5'00. Heh. I also say a prayer every night to grow a half inch... I'm 44 and this has yet to happen. :(

I was sleeved on April 20th at 177.4. One month out and I'm 162.2. I feel FANTASTIC. I'm happy with my weight loss number overall, but in comparison to some of the others I see I get a teeny bit frustrated. But I tell myself that's cause they are TALL. ;)

I have to tell myself something, right?

:)

Glad us short arses can be known as petite. I discovered whilst at the very beginning of my WLS journey that I was no longer 5'6" but somewhere along the way had lost 3"!!!!!! I'm now 5'3". I know that my back is totally f****d and I've got a relatively new hip but THREE inches? Purleeeeese!!!! That's what happens when you are a ballet dancer in your youth. Everything falls to bits and you end up shrinking. Bit of a bum deal all things considered. Huuuummmmmph...............

wow! 3 inches! that is impressive. I am not sure how I would handle that - I am already grouchy about the half inch.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
