Canadian Challange

Recommended Posts

uggg... excercise... I'm planning on walking to and from work, as soon as I start. Is that good? How about I WALK to Tim Horton's for my coffee and donut in the morning?? LOL Just kidding, I'm not doing that anymore!

How about we set our own things to challenge ourselves with, and report on how we've done, whenever we're supposed to... ex:

CLOE wants to run 6 miles a day and eat 70 grams of Protein a day.

argon wants to lose 20 pounds and drink all her water!

Yoda want to sexercise 4 times a day.

kimmason wants to stop fantasizing about Brad Pitt.

etc, etc

We could start a new thread, list everyones goals in the first post, and everyone has to post how they're doing once a week (or even everyday, if they want).

Okay, so Mandi, your soooooooooooooo smart:biggrin1: ! Good Idea. I can start a "AUGUST CANADIAN CHALLENGE". We'll start off with our goal, and go from there. :clap2:

Yoda: no no... I guess it's depending on how long of a challenge. I was thinking 20lbs in 3 months!

Cloe: I am sooo not a runner. I'm pretty sure you'd win. How about we make it a fall challenge? Since it's almost fall... it could be a 3 month thing. Then we could have a new one for winter? Anyone can join mid-way or whatever. What do you think? Or would you guys prefer a one month thing?

Irishmist: I'm with you. Exercise sucks!! Maybe someday I'll start enjoying it.

That is the trick Argon...for exercise: to find something you love (or at least like) doing...then it isn't a chore!

Yeaaaah.... I don't really like doing anything. :heh:

Do you think walking 3 kms a day would be good?

Okay...my goals/personal challenges for Aug will be as follows:

1. No chips for the month of August (this will be VERY difficult for me) .... "Strong with the Dark Side, this place be"

2. Lose a total of 8 pounds

It will be a challenge considering that I need a fill and I can't get it until 25 Aug.....

oh CRAP!!! Mr. Yoda just read my personal challenge/goals for Aug and HE said that "chips" also includes "cheezies & ringolos". Of course, I beg to differ.....Mr Yoda just said, "My own council I shall keep"....(drats to him!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK???? is it the same as chips?

*sigh* ahhhh, never mind....if I'm completely honest with myself I KNOW that "chips" includes those things. Okay....I will amend my #1 to include cheezies and ringolos. Okay, now I've made an almost next to impossible challenge for myself.

ssssssh don't tell Mr Yoda...but that means cupcakes are okay!!!! hehehehe.

OMG, I was only kidding about the running thing!!! Unless, of course, I'm running over to Mr. and Mrs. Yoda's house to get those ringolo's their gonna throw out:) .

Okay, a fall thing it is, Aug,Sept,Oct, right? I'll start the thread tommorow.

Irishmist, I'm so impressed, Can you really exercise EVERY day, I was thinking more along the line of 3-4 times a week. But I'm up for the challenge.

Kim, tommorrow is day three for you already!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
