Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery Monday Dec 12th

Recommended Posts

My first day was horrible after surgery I woke with a fat lip, left side of my face was puffy and I hurt so bad. The nurses said it was because of the tube they put in so I could breath.

Dr Atkinson from Las Vegas did my surgery Monday afternoon

I am having trouble with the Protein Powder, can't get use to the taste.

Congratulations- I hope everything is going well and I'm really excited for you! I am pre-op so I can't speak for the Protein powder, but understand it may be difficult.

I truly hope you feel better today. That pain will pass and just think about your long term goal, it will be worth the pain afterall. Take care of yourself.

The pain passes quickly. Day 5 I woke up and realized I was sleeping on my stomach! Even more then that, I was so comfy I decided to sleep for another hour! I had a hard time too with the Protein powder. I sucked it up though and got it down. It is easier to drink now then it was. Take your time and get used to your new tummy- Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
