Goal count down 5.....

Recommended Posts

Well, I am 175 today, 5lbs from goal. Down 98 lbs from surgery, and 137 from my heaviest. 5lbs, wow. It's so hard to believe!!!! I need to post some current pics. I'll try to do that with the count down. So close. This past week I have had 4 people email me and ask how I did it. So as in each case I am sitting down and sharing in depth hoping it will help their journey.

Way to go Noel, it is amazing that we started this journey just a few months ago. I cannot imagine only being 5 lbs from goal, it would make me want to run 10 miles a day to drop that 5 lbs. Keep us posted on that last leg of your goal. Way to go buddy.

Kemo, I ran 5 miles yestarday. Lol. That's my longest distance so far. I have been in a crazy slow stall for a month and increased my runs to 3 and 5 miles and have started losing again. But these 5 lbs have been in the last 5 days. So I'm gonna run like crazy this week an hopefully see the last bit drop off. How are u doing?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
