I was sleeved on November 9 and they also fixed a hiatal hernia. I have been in quite a bit of pain and the nausea on the second day made me want to lay down and die! Home today and feeling better but still in lots of pain and very overwhelmed by all the medications and having to drink one or two ounces every 15 minutes. Hopefully I will get used to it soon.

Hi Mrs. Burn -

I had my surgery on the 7th and I feel just like you do. I am feeling better every day, but WOW is all I can say. By any chance do your wrist hurt? My teeth even hurt. I ended up back in the hospital yesterday because I was dehydrated. Big bummer because I had to have another IV.

I really hope we can talk and help one another through this journey.

Tons of smiles your way!

Jennifer

I wad sleeved the 9th and had horrible nausea the second day from the dilauded. Once I switched to Tylenol 3, I started feeling better and I got to come home late yesterday afternoon. I'm not experiencing too much pain other that the incision where my drain was. I'm also having a difficult time getting comfortable enough to sleep any longer than 2 hours at a time. I absolutely HATE the Isopure but I'm choking it down and then sipping on warm broth (which is sooo good). I have noticed that the more I walk and move around, the better I feel!! So walk, walk walk!!!

Hoping we all recover soon!!!

:)

I had my sleeve on Nov. 7th and came home on the 9th and I must be extremely lucky because I feel really terrific!! The first day in the hospital I had some pain, but only took pain medication twice and have had none since. I am making my own Protein Shakes and having one (16 oz apprx.) per day and about 20 oz of Water per day. I'm sleeping fully through the night and just have a bit of soreness. I consider myself very lucky. Must have had a terrific surgeon!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
