October Sleevies - Check in!

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved Oct 25,2011.

I'm doing really well. I don't really get hungry. Although last night I was wrapping a present of chocolates and I did get some cravings and had to quickly put it away! But for the most part, I don't get hungry and really have no cravings. My biggest thing I must learn and need to work harder on is slowing down when eating. I know getting into this habit for the future is crucial.

I am on stage 3 of eating. And so far I can eat just about anything except Pasta. It doesn't make me sick. But it does give me indigestion. It's OK tho, cause I am not a big Pasta eater.

Also for quite a while after surgery I was on a great big stall. But I am pleased to say that all this week I've been dropping a pound a day and today even 2 pounds. So finally all my hard work exercising and eating so little is paying off!! YAY!! So far 16 pounds since surgery! Before surgery 52 pounds...for a total of 68 pounds!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
