Christmas Challenge!!!

Recommended Posts

Definitely count me in!!!

Is there any interest in a Valentines day goal? I figure we only have a matter of a few days left in this challenge so why not start thinking about our goals for say Valentines day? Its about 7 weeks from Christmas. I am thinking I can do 15 pounds maybe by then. Anyone else interested in doing a valentines challenge?

Yes. I wanted to try to gauge how much interest there would be in it. When do you think we should start it? December 26th? Im just tossing out ideas..

I'm going to go out on a limb here that by the decreased number of people posting their progress, people are maybe struggling meeting their xmas goal. So, imo- the sooner the better. I personally had a good break through, but then all this past week I've been struggling with all the goodies at work and soooo... I'm up 3# from where I was. It's nobody's fault but my own. Thank God this sleeve keeps me from doing too much damage!

Well, last time I started the Xmas one the week before Halloween because it was the 25 and exactly two months away... Not too many people joined at first because they werent done with halloween. I want to be sure people are ready for a new one so I was thinking of starting the day after the xmas one is over with..even though we are just days away! If others think we should start it now instead of waiting...please chime in!

Ok, so its been another tough challenge, and after a stall and a 6lb re-bound, I've had a loss, and I'm now 2lb from both christmas, and my final goal. I'm guessing I wont make 2lb in 3 days, but I'm actually pretty happy here for now.

Merry Christmas! xx

The day after Christmas sounds good to me. That gives us just over 7 weeks to meet goal.

I agree, starting the 26th gives us a chance to officially finish this one. Even though alot of us won't be meeting our goal we can be proud of how close we've come to it. And I'm not figuring how close I came until Christmas morning smile.png . I look forward to the new challenge. This was my first one and I like how it gives me a reason to work toward my weight loss instead of just letting it happen.

I will see how I do with my goal for my surgery date, and jump into the Valentine's day challenge from there.

Good luck everyone!

Merry Christmas Sleevers! Well today I weighed in at 218.2 for the Christmas Challenge. My goal was 215....soo close! :) But i'm not worried, as long as the lbs are going down and not up. Plus I feel great that I've been sticking to exercise (bootcamp, yoga, running). My ultimate goal is to get to 175lbs by May. I wholeheartedly believe this can be done.

Good luck everyone!

Well, I didnt quite make it this challenge either. I did loose 15 pounds however and I am proud of that! You never know when you might stall and mess up your challenge. I will take any loss at this stage of my life.. before surgery, I would have already been on the "gain" by now and I didnt gain any weight over the holidays, in fact lost at least 5 pounds since thanksgiving! Now, on to the New Challenge and the New Year! Its my year this time! Merry Christmas Everyone!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
