I got my official surgery date this past friday.
I am scheduled for Oct 31st. Happy Halloween to me.
I have been doing very well on my pre-op diet so far and I have been doing a little exercise.
Exercising is a little hard as I find I am so tired. Anyone else feel so sleepy and tired during their liquid diet?
I take Vitamins at night and my Calcium in the mornings so that I make sure I am getting the nutrients I need.
Thankfully my surgery is very early in the morning. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am and surgery is scheduled to begin at 7:30am, so I don't have to wait around all day being anxious and nervous. Now I am mostly excited and anxious but I do have moments every now and then where I get a little scared. I am not good with hospitals and have never had any type of surgery in my life. It will be a whole new experience for me. The last time I was in the hospital was 1993 when I had my son. Just the thought of an IV is freaking me out. LOL I know it will all be alright and it is going to be the start of a healthier life for me. I just keep reminding myself of the reason for the surgery and it helps keep me from freaking out too much.
