No surgery today as planned :o(

Well I was scheduled for my surgery today and got a call Friday that the doctor hurt his arm and if I received a call from him on Sunday or Monday, then they would have to reschedule. Well sure enough (after I drank my first bottle of Magnesium Citrate) he called and said he was still in too much pain. Although I was disappointed, I would rather he be well before he cuts on me. I know God is in complete control and he does everything for a reason, so am trying to be patient. Should receive a due date today. Praying for a date next week!

Great positive attitude - you will do great! Good luck with a new date soon!

Thanks MeMeMEEE, I just hope I don't eat myself info a hole while I wait (hehe). I guess it really was a good thing being that it is flooding here.

I believe in fate too and there is a reason why you did not have your surgery today. You will know in time why it didn't happen, but stay positive and you will have it before you know it!

Kelly ;)

I am going to repeat what someone else said "great positive attitude"!! I think a lot of people forget that doctors are people too! Things happen that they can't control. I am also impressed that your surgeon called you himself and didn't have his office staff do it. I know it must stink to have to wait, but at least your surgeon seems to be very caring and responsible!

Thanks KellyL and kellyw74! But you know you have that little bit of doubt wondering if that was a sign that you shouldn't have it done. But I am going to trust and believe that everything will be fine. I just got a call back from the doctor's office and I am now set for Sept. 12th. Not the first patient this time, but hey, I'll take it! Maybe his coffee will be good and kicked in by then. I am so ready to start my "new" life. Yay!!!

I know Emily, that really meant a lot that he called me personally. He said he felt bad but he wanted to concentrate on the surgery instead of focusing on his pain. I love that he is a perfectionist, yet believes in God himself. That is a real plus with me! He also did my sis-in-laws surgery and she looks great (has lost 136 lbs).
